Kendrick Jamal Glasper Finch was born on October 30th, 1998 in Dunwoody Georgia to Mrs. Annette L. (Phelan) Lott and to Mr. Kenneth (Toya) Finch. Jamal, as everybody calls him, grew up in Flowery Branch Georgia and was educated through the Hall County School System. Jamal was baptized and joined to the Mount Zion Baptist Church of Flowery Branch Georgia in February of 2005. At the age of 13, Jamal was called to the preaching ministry. Recent to his calling, Jamal preached messages at his middle school at FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). During his freshmen year of high school (2012), Jamal was appointed a minister by his pastor, Rev. Dr. Emerson Ross and on January of 2017, he was given his license to preach the gospel. Jamal is a person who likes to inspire, motivate, and move people. He’s a very energetic person, he’s an old soul at heart, if you ask anyone that knows him, they will say that he’s fun to be around, he’s very funny, and most importantly he loves God with all his heart, he loves preaching and teaching the word of God, and to see God move in the lives of people.
